Good start for the Ferry fly fishers at fad today with 25 rainbows in the boat and the same lost on takes,
using mixed lines with Hot head damsels, Crunchers, Bibio’s. and cormorants, Fishing along the reed bed shore there was some double takes at one point,
Conditions were bright and sunny today, But most anglers managed a few Rainbows and some great Sport.

Best catch of the day with 14 Rainbows for 34lbs with 4 fish around the 4lb mark went to Robert McAlister Dan and Stewart Mitchell. fishing Bait at the Boat house bay; Kevin , Rory and Mark, Pike fishing yesterday and today have Recorded 20 pike with Best fish weighing in at 19lb 2 oz , with best bait being lamprey eel
Fly fishing for the McLean and McDougal lads was steady with most fish caught along the Reed bed side.

A wee trip doon the water with family and friends for the fourth valley angling club and the Argyle Arms fishing clubs. The lads had a few Rainbows between them with the Biggest fish of the Day going to John Dowds,
Walter Taylor also receiving the a well deserved Trophy from fellow anglers for there annual visit

Is that 6lb Rainbow a competition winner David ??? Still a day to go tomorrow, Tight lines,😲😀

Good start for Walter and the lads fishing from Boat and Bank, Some nice Rainbows for the Smokehouse.

Great weather for Family and friends to compete in the annual Jim Smith Memorial today, With a few fish caught around the same size it was pretty close at the weigh in at 5 pm, 
Sean McAwaine was the winner with his Best Rainbow @5lb with a few not far Behind .
A good day for all lads with a few Beers and Some Scottish Sunshine😎.
Also at the Loch today was the Albion anglers with 38 Rainbows with an average around 2/3lb plus

Loch Fad welcomes John Smith and his Many Followers for their annual Jim Smith Memorial Competition. 
In attendance defending his title will be young Conlon Smith who won with a 6lb Rainbow last year.
On the Day Loch Fad will introduce various sizes of Rainbows so Tight lines to all and may the best man win,
Also tight lines to the Albion lads who will be visiting on the Same Day.
Also, picnic at the Loch for pre 5s 
If Travelling to Bute this weekend remember there are road works at the Wemyss Bay side so you will need to come via the Largs Road, for information check with Inverclyde council.
