Osprey’s have now been visiting Loch Fad for over 17 years, in the past four years they have built two nests around 100 yards apart in the surrounding pine trees, with great success on rearing the chicks and feeding from Loch fad .
With the permission from Nature Scotland, I have built a bird hide and located it in a specific area to view the osprey’s activities, in addition to this I also have a boat hide in another viewing position on the Loch, again in a specific area to view activities.
If you are interested in these birds of prey, as well as many other species, this could be a great experience to watch. You are also guaranteed to see the nest site and with patience some osprey activity.
Cost per two hour visit is £60 per person, his includes transport to and from Bird Hide or Boat Hide.
